Graduate Funding Available The Department of Geology at Kent State University seeks highly motivated students to pursue the M.S. or Ph.D. degree in the areas of coastal processes, engineering geology, geochemistry, hydrology, invertebrate paleontology, oceanography, paleoclimatology, sedimentary geology, or tectonics. Interdisciplinary research opportunities are also available through the Kent State University Water Resources Research Institute (http://www.dept.kent.edu/wrri/). Emphasis is placed on research designed to advance the understanding of the geological sciences and to solve societal problems. Graduate stipends are awarded on a competitive basis.
