Funding is available for 2 graduate students. 1 PhD student is sought to utilize benthic foraminiferal stable isotopes to reconstruct the reorganization of deepwater circulation and development of the “icehouse” deep ocean structure, focusing on the mid- to late Eocene (~40 to 33 Ma). A 2^nd PhD student is sought to utilize Triassic bulk sediment C-isotopes (organic and inorganic) to establish a stratigraphic correlation tool and to model C cycle changes.
